The rapper and wife TaShera Simmons in happier days.....
If last week's episode of VH1's newest hit Couples Therapy was any indication of what's going on inside the brain of Dark Man X, tonight's show surely confirmed that the rapper/actor might actually be on the wrong television show. X, who was full of inaudible, disrespectful, psychotic rants and outbursts, seemed more like an outpatient whose wife was visiting for family day on Dr. Drew's Celebrity Rehab.
Earl Simmons, DMX's real name, is clearly still fighting the demons of substance abuse. His irrational behavior and blatant disregard of his wife's feelings on the show are like watching a train wreck. You try your damndest to look away, but at the same time can't take your eyes away from the crash. As a viewer, I felt embarrassed watching him, Lord knows only knows what his poor wife, who wants nothing other than to be loved in return from him, is feeling. We all know that a person who is under the influence of hard core drugs is not themselves, however, we also know that nobody can save a person that doesn't want to be saved.
Simmon's told wife straight up that he will continue to have extra-marital affairs, some of which have resulted in the birth of 6 illegitimate children, until his johnson fell off. Really? Yet and still it's hard for Tashera to walk away, stating that her "love is unconditional" and that she loves him "more than herself". Tina has asked you time and time again, what's LOVE got to do with it?
All I can say to that is when a man treats you like Simmon's does, it's time to pack up the kids and get the hell out of there. You know, I wouldn't be surprised if he has been physically abusive in the past with her. Word of advice-Tashera learn to love yourself and those kids! You can't change him honey, he's too far gone. Your happiness is your sanity, and clearly you are miserable.
Keep your eyes peeled for the pair's progression or demise of their relationship on VH1's Couple Therapy.
