Bob Marley
Your birthday is next Friday honey and look who the wind blew in to help you celebrate it.....Bob Marley! Let that sink in....Bob Marley. The name itself takes you back to when you were first introduced to his music, his life, his legacy. Maybe you grew up off of that good ole Jamaican reggae, found out about it in college, or stumbled upon it by mistake...however it was that you found out, you're a better person because you did. Marley, who emerged from very humble beginnings, taught us all that life is for the living. He was extremely fruitful and multiplied, he allowed himself to be lead by a spirit higher than himself, and used his talents as a vessel to infuse positivity into the world. His love of women, music, love, herb, his children and his Jah- not necessarily in that order, are what we will always remember him for. Marley was quoted as saying "My music will go on forever. Maybe it's a fool say that, but when me know facts me can say facts. My music will go on forever." With a movie called MARLEY in theaters and on demand a mere 31 years after his death, on ever so appropriate Friday April 20th (4/20), Rastafarian's (and honorary ones too) would say he was right.
