Trayvon Martin, Gone Too Soon

Trayvon Martin, the 17 year old boy gunned down by George Zimmeran in Florida about a month ago, is now a household name.  I'm sure when Trayvon was making plans for his future and mapping out the many routes he could've taken in this life, he never thought he'd be famous because of his untimely death.  Can you imagine your son, brother, nephew, father, uncle, cousin, friend, neighbor hell....anybody for that matter being killed in cold blood for actually speaking on his cell phone to a female friend on his way home from a store to grab an Arizona Iced Tea and a pack of Skittles candy? Crazy right????

Oh, it makes sense now, since he just so happened to be an African-American male wearing a pull-over sweat shirt known as a hoodie he HAD TO BE A THREAT.  Simple as that.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Nevermind how much joy this young man brought his parents, siblings, friends, and classmates.  Nevermind the fact that he aspired to be a pilot and was a successful candidate in a simulated program regarding piloting.  Nevermind the fact that he yelled for help, leading anyone with half a mustard seed of a brain to realize he was obviously UNARMED.  Nevermind the fact that the cowardly lying, Zimmerman had called the cops almost 50 times already this year (all on people who didn't have the common denominator of race with him).

Never-mind the fact that the police advised Zimmerman to LEAVE TRAYVON ALONE.  Never-mind the fact that Zimmerman intentionally followed the young man and was relentless in his pursuit.  Never-mind any of that.  Evidently in the good ole state of Florida, they have bulls#!t laws (my opinion) that allow such behavior with absolutely NO PUNISHMENT to the gun man.  SMDH.  And you thought this was the land of the free and the home of the brave?  Shame on you for not knowing any better.
